Authentic Chan Meng Kee is a no-frills Chinese noodle restaurant tucked in the bustling neighborhood of SS2, Petaling Jaya. The space leans towards practicality over decor, but that simplicity suits the spot well—it's clearly designed for people who come here focused on one thing: hearty, well-made noodles and classic Chinese dishes that deliver familiar tastes.

The signature draw here is their wantan noodles, served with tender char siu that balances sweet and smoky notes without going over the top. The noodles themselves retain a firm, springy texture that holds up well, even on busy days. Diners often pair these with an assortment of mains like crispy roasted chicken and curry roasted pork noodles with oyster sauce kailan. It’s a place where texture matters as much as flavor—dumplings are meaty and peppery, while pork balls carry a deeper, more vibrant seasoning.

The atmosphere is straightforward and unpretentious, reflecting a genuinely local vibe. This spot has cultivated a loyal following over the years, helped by attentive staff who prioritize cleanliness and customer comfort. The shop keeps cooler than its older location, adding to the ease of a relaxed meal without the stuffiness typical of some older noodle houses.

This restaurant suits anyone craving traditional Chinese noodle dishes with a relaxed but efficient service style. It’s not a fast food joint, but it respects your time, making it a convenient lunch or early dinner spot for locals. Early evenings and weekends tend to be livelier, with a steady flow of familiar faces and families.

Drinks like their milk tea and iced coffee are refreshing accompaniments, rounding out the meal without fuss. A unique touch is the complimentary red bean dessert offered occasionally, giving the meal a gentle, homey finish.

Whether you’re returning after years or discovering it as a nearby option, Authentic Chan Meng Kee offers a straightforward and satisfying taste of classic Chinese noodle dining in Petaling Jaya’s SS2 neighborhood.

Food is really good! Brings me back to HK. Love how the boss is attentive and friendly to the customers, very welcoming. He trains his staffs well and prioritises hygiene a lot. Will definitely be back! TLDR, the tissue they provide is the thick kind love it!

An evergreen, classic destination for wan tan noodles. Their noodles maintain a firm and springy quality, still consistent after all these years, but with higher prices now, unavoidably. I loved the dumplings - meaty and peppery. Pork balls were also quite flavourful to me. Char siew flavour is potent but not the melt-in-your-mouth kind, if that’s your preference. Drinks are good, refreshing bursts of sweetness. Recommended for your noodle fix when in the SS2 area.

The champion is the crispy pork belly and chasio pork, the taste of the belly is very fragrant with garlicky flavour and savory The chasiu pork taste sweet and smoky beause of the charcoal hint at the skin But the chicken feet for me i dont like because its taste blend, mayble it is how it make in malaysia? But usually the chicken feet i have tasye bold and savory

I have eaten their wantan noodles regularly more than 10 years ago, and was sad when they were no longer at the same location. And by a stroke of luck, I found it again, still in SS2, just a different shop. Same street as murni SS2. Oh their charsiew still melts in the mouth, and crispy chicken is still good. Like I never left. Nice. Now atmosphere better, cooler not so hot as old shop. Come and try, one of the better wanton noodles around.

They have moved to this new location some months back. Only able to come after such a long time. The charsiew is still melting in your mouth. Wonderbar. Siewyoke is pretty good when couple with the sambal. Ordered normal wantan noodles and also the curry wantan noodles. Curry is suprisingly good.

The char siew here not bad, just the texture abit hard. The curry noodle here not bad, curry taste good but the siew yoke for me a little bit oily, the fat too over for me . Overall still ok
